Normally I like to drop into the code to see what’s wrong. But on this occasion time was at a premium. Using the plugin Fix Another Update In Progress by P Roy did the job in seconds, even if it wasn’t tested up to the version I was running. Deleted afterwards during clean-up, but would recommend.
